Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd.
Installation of state-of-the-art audiovisual systems and signage displays for Idemitsu Kosan on their movement to and agglomeration of their corporate headquarters in the new Otemachi One Tower in central Tokyo
Background
A company with a 110-year history, Idemitsu Kosan relocated its corporate headquarters and brought its main offices under one roof in the newly opened Otemachi One Tower in central Tokyo’s Otemachi district in December 2020. On the occasion of their moving to this outstanding location with direct access to the Otemachi Tokyo Metro station, Totsu performed several installations including new audiovisual equipment in meeting rooms and signage displays in a variety of areas.
Systems
◆ Boardroom
In the boardroom, to facilitate meetings using high-definition audio and video, we installed large-screen projection equipment using a 12000-lumen projector and a 140-inch electric screen, line array speakers, and a meeting-specific microphone unit. Furthermore, to support online meetings, we installed web cameras and wireless presentation tools such as ClickShare. Now, increasingly common online meetings with other company locations can be held with ease. At the control desk, operations can be carried out via graphical display on an iPad. Equipment that doesn’t require regular operation such as the video switcher, system controls, and power amplifier are all stored neatly in an audiovisual rack in an adjacent room.
◆ Partitionable Large Conference Room
In this conference room we installed three wall-mounted 98-inch displays. This room not only has a capacity of 150 people, but can also be divided with partitions to create three separate meeting rooms. With this in mind, three sets of audiovisual equipment were installed, allowing for use whether rooms are combined or partitioned.
◆ Conference Room
A 55-inch display and ClickShare technology for wireless presentations were installed in this conference room.
◆ Co-Creativity Space 98-inch Signage Display
We installed a large display to allow information to be broadcast to this free space aimed at communication and collaboration. This area is also used for other purposes such as events and workshops.
◆ Office Displays
We installed 24-inch tabletop displays in each office. This has created an area focused on new working styles that promotes collaboration within a spacious office, and which is used for meetings as well as other purposes.
◆ Cafeteria Signage
In the cafeteria, we installed 98-inch wall-mounted displays. This area is used not only for dining, but as a communication and working space. These displays perform a number of roles including information sharing and enhancement of the work environment.
estimonial
On this occasion, Totsu carried out a number of installations for us including those in the boardroom and conference rooms, signage displays, and office displays. We requested the installation of systems that are both easy to use and understand and which put users’ needs first, and we are extremely satisfied with the end product.
